Everyday Product Improvement
You will be assigned one of the following products. You job is to create a new design that is better than existing designs. You must first analyze the product, determine what problem[s] it solves, determine what constraints apply, and begin researching what designs are already in existence. Then determine how the product could be improved from current designs and begin compiling a list of current design weaknesses and specific improvements that you plan to make. Next begin brainstorming and sketching ideas. Use a decision matrix to pick one idea, then create detailed sketches of that idea. Finally, create a CAD drawing of your idea, including: part files, assembly model, drawing files, and a presentation file with exploded view. All of your work will be compiled into a presentation and will be presented to the class on May 29th [B-Day] or May 30th [A-Day].

Your presentation will be graded on:
- Your Design Brief (word document including Problem statement and constraints)
- Brainstorming process (initial sketches, decision matrix, and detailed sketches)
- Autodesk (part files, assembly, drawing files, presentation file)
- Overall Design (was it creative and unique? was it actually an improvement? Aesthetically pleasing? Etc…)
